Put some respect on our good sis, Rihanna’s name as she’s just earned her rightful place among societies top one per cent.

Welcome to the billionaire’s club RiRi!

After years in the music, acting and beauty industries, Forbes Magazine has this morning (August 4) confirmed, the Barbados born singer’s initiation into the billionaire’s club with an overall net worth of a whopping $1.7 billion.

According to Forbes estimates, Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, thanks to her increased net worth is now the wealthiest female musician in the world and second only to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer.

Indeed it would appear, *Nicki Minaj voice* “Caribbean girls run this”.

Despite the Desperado singer’s initial claim to fame through music, however, it wasn’t her music that made her so wealthy.

In fact, Forbes reports that a bulk of her fortune (an estimated $1.4 billion) comes from the value of Fenty Beauty, of which Forbes can now confirm she owns 50 per cent.

Much of the rest lies in her stake in her lingerie company, Savage x Fenty, worth an estimated $270 million, and her earnings from her career as a chart-topping musician and actress.

While we can’t help a slight sourness to our moods that there seems to be no update on the new Rihanna album front, we are extremely proud of the success of our Caribbean queen in achieving such an inspiring milestone.
