Bournemouth have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool winger Ben Doak for £20 million, with another £5 million in possible add-ons. The 19-year-old is set to complete the move within 24 hours, pending a medical and final paperwork.
Doak, who was left out of Liverpool’s recent win over Bournemouth, spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in 24 games. The Scotland international chose Bournemouth over interest from Leeds and Porto, seeking more regular first-team football.
His departure is part of Liverpool’s busy summer, with player sales nearing £200 million. Key exits include Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, Darwin Nunez to Al-Hilal, and Jarrell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, have been active in the market too, selling Dango Ouattara, Illia Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, and Milos Kerkez for over £190 million combined. Manager Andoni Iraola says more signings are expected before the transfer window closes, with a centre back and striker still on the wish list.
