Bert’s Auto Parts Foundation has committed a $20-million contribution to support national relief and rebuilding efforts following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa.

The funds will be directed toward critical initiatives, including roof repairs, building materials, and food packages for families severely affected, particularly in western Jamaica, where the storm’s impact has been most significant.

“Bert’s Auto was built by Jamaicans—our customers, our employees, our partners, and our communities,” said Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bert’s Auto Bert Tomlinson Sr.

“Over the past 37 years, their trust and support have shaped our success. Today, as the nation rebuilds, we see it as our responsibility to stand in solidarity with the people who have stood with us.”

Tomlinson emphasised that this donation is made on behalf of every customer who has helped build Bert’s over the years, reflecting the shared spirit that has always defined the company’s relationship with Jamaica.

“This gesture of goodwill is an act of solidarity. Jamaica’s strength has always been in its people. From neighbours helping neighbours to companies supporting communities, we are once again reminded that recovery is a shared mission,” he said.

“At Bert’s, we’re simply doing our part to help families get back on their feet; one roof, one meal, one home at a time,” Tomlinson continued.

Bert’s Auto Parts Foundation has a history of supporting community rebuilding and disaster recovery. In 2024, after Hurricane Beryl, the company provided resources to assist in rebuilding homes and critical infrastructure in St Elizabeth. This year’s contribution will expand on those efforts through partnerships with reputable non-governmental organisations to ensure effective distribution and measurable impact.

“Our business has always been about more than parts; it’s about people,” Tomlinson added. “And in this moment, as Jamaica rebuilds, we want to remind everyone that we are in this together.”
