Beryllium Limited wishes to clarify inaccurate reports currently circulating in sections of the media regarding an incident which occurred earlier today at a garage facility located adjacent to the Beryllium compound on South Camp Road, Kingston.

The incident involved an explosion and subsequent fire affecting a vehicle located in the garage property. Unfortunately, a few individuals sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical attention. The situation was contained to the garage premises and did not impact Beryllium’s operational facilities.

Contrary to some reports, Beryllium’s operations were not affected, and there was no fire within the Beryllium building or its operational areas. Business continuity measures remained fully intact, and all services continue to operate normally.

Our immediate priority has been the well-being of the affected individuals. Members of our Human Resources and Management teams have been actively coordinating medical assistance, supporting employees, and maintaining communication with family members to ensure all necessary care and support are provided.

We commend the emergency response teams for their swift action in containing the situation and preventing further damage.
