The fifth annual Jamaica International Beauty Expo (JIBE) is set to take place from June 28 to 30 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre, with a significant delegation from the Jamaican Diaspora in Canada confirmed to attend.

In addition to this delegation, JIBE will also welcome participants from Nigeria and the United States of America.

These notable participations underscore the event’s growing international appeal and the strong ties between Jamaica and its overseas community.

The Canadian/Jamaica delegation will be led by the noted events industry leader in Canada, Keisha Pinto, including skincare therapist Orica Smart of the O Spot, Colin Jackson of the renowned Jack Flawless Photography, event and sponsorship architect Jacqueline Clarke of the Well Connected, and full-time family, beauty, and lifestyle content creator and psychologist Olivia Parker, among others.

Following a successful media launch on Saturday (May 25) at the newly-opened Harbour City Shopping Mall, preparations are in full swing for the highly anticipated expo.

JIBE promises to be a landmark event, celebrating the vibrancy and talent of Jamaica’s beauty industry while fostering international connections and opportunities for growth.

Big endorsement from Montegonians

The event is endorsed by the Mayor of Montego Bay, Richard Vernon, and the President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oral Heaven, both of whom highlighted the expo’s importance to Jamaica’s economy and its role in enhancing the country’s beauty industry.

For Heaven, “the support from our Canadian diaspora, especially, is a testament to the growing impact and relevance of the Jamaica International Beauty Expo.”
