Jamaican soap manufacturer, Blue Power Group is reporting that its BMC laundry soap has been a hit in the American market.

Blue Power says the soap, which is co-pack for Eve Sales has been gaining ground in the United States (US). The soap has been a hit in the American market in spite of the fact that competitors from Jamaica and other CARICOM countries are also present in the market with very competitive pricing of laundry soaps.

Blue Power BMC laundry soap is a product that produces cleaner and fresher laundry while brightens and whitens without bleach. The ingredients are: Sodium palmate/palm kernelate, color (ultramarine blue), fragrance, sodium silicate, calcium carbonate, fragrance, edtas.

Solidifying strategic partnership

Blue Power is also solidifying its partnership in the local market place with its ongoing partnership with Lasco, which continues to be strong in producing bathing and laundry soaps for the distributor under the brand names Lasco and Lascare. Blue Power has advised that, “we hope to build on this relationship by introducing some new products towards the end of this calendar year”.

The company has highlighted its strategic partnership with local distributors, Derrimon Trading and Pricesmart. In the case of Derrimon, the company distributes Blue Power products in supermarkets and some wholesale stores even although the Dr Dhiru Tanna-formed company continues to sell directly to some wholesalers in Kingston.

As for Pricesmart, the company continues to be Blue Power’s most important retail customer with good sales of 18-pack laundry soaps available at excellent prices. Miracle Corporation continues to support the company through the purchase of True and Natural soaps for the domestic and Trinidad markets
