Board appointments at Jamaican Teas and its manufacturing subsidy

Jamaican Teas Limited has announced new board appointments as well as the board of directors for its new Caribbean Dream Foods subsidiary.

The board appointments are effective January 1, 2023. The Jamaican Teas Board has been expanded to include non-executive directors, Kerry-Ann McKoy Tulloch and Dr Nadiya Figueroa.

The new board of the Jamaican Teas subsidiary, Caribbean Dream Foods Manufacturing Division, consists of: Chairman, John Mahfood; Deputy Chairman Dr Damien King and non-executive directors Dianna Blake-Bennett, Peter John Thwaites and Lisa Lewis.

Caribbean Dreams Foods is focused solely on manufacturing tea and other consumer products and recently secured rights to produce Tetley brand of teas.

The new company is headed by Blake-Bennett, a former general manager of competitor, Salada Foods.

It is expected to become operational during this current quarter.
