American R&B star Bobby Brown and his extended family have again been thrust into mourning after the loss of son Bobby Brown Junior on Wednesday (November 18).

According to US media outlets, the 28-year-old Bobby Jr. was found dead at his Encino, California home. Police, initially called to respond to a medical emergency, do not suspect foul play at this time.

Born in 1992, Bobby Junior was the third of seven children fathered by the Grammy-award-winning songwriter.

He was the second of two children out of the relationship between Bobby Brown and Kim Ward before the couple split on his meeting Whitney Houston.

Bobby Junior’s death is the third tragedy to rock the Brown family in the last decade after the loss of Bobbi Kristina and Whitney Houston, who died in 2015 and 2012 respectively.

Bobbi Kristina, aged 22, passed away in July 2015 after she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Georgia home five months earlier.

Bobbi Kristina’s cause of death was determined to be drowning, however, she had toxic levels of cocaine and alcohol in her system.

It was an eerily similar death to her mother, Whitney Houston, who had died from an accidental overdose while in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
