The Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) is announcing the suspension of its acceptance of Trinidad and Tobago banknotes.
The suspension takes effect Monday November 6, 2023 and will remain in effect until further advised.
In a terse statement issued earlier today, the BOJ “advises the public that the existing arrangement for BOJ to repatriate Trinidad and Tobago banknotes is currently under review.”
No further details were given except to say members of the public must be guided accordingly.
