Vybz Kartel has announced the addition of dancehall veteran Bounty Killer and dancehall mainstay Masicka to the lineup for his highly anticipated Freedom Street concert on New Year’s Eve.

The legendary lineup includes Spice, Skillibeng, Chronic Law, Rvssian and his sons Likkle Vybz and Likkle Addi, Popcaan, Tommy Lee Sparta, Lisa Hyper, Gaza Indu, Sheba, Jah Vinci and Shawn Storm, African superstar Shatta Wale and American rap legend Busta Rhymes.

“Ready up, set your alarms. Get your friends, plan your outfits and, lock in your carpool clique!!!” Kartel wrote on his Instagram.

Although neither Bounty Killer nor Masicka have commented on their potential inclusion in Freedom Street’s lineup, Kartel’s confirmation alone has been enough to light a fire under their respective fandoms.

The full lineup remains a surprise says the Fever artiste, but the announcement of two of dancehall’s biggest figures and Jamaica’s favourite disk jockeys such as ZJ Chrome and Chromatic has heightened excitement for his return to the state after being freed from prison earlier this year after a 13-year stint.

The grand event will occur on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, starting at 4 pm at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. However, Vybz Kartel hits the stage at 10 pm.

Kartel’s reemergence has captivated fans worldwide, making this concert a must-see event of the year.
