
Brazil has officially taken the reins as chair of the board of governors of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) with a bold vision to strengthen ties with the region.
Brazil’s Chairmanship will focus on crucial areas such as combating climate change, boosting private sector engagement, and enhancing the bank’s capacity to provide innovative development solutions for its borrowing member countries (BMCs).
Last week, the CDB welcomed Ambassador of Brazil to Barbados, Vera Campetti to the CDB’s head office in the capital Bridgetown.

Ambassador Campetti engaged in fruitful discussions with senior bank executives including acting president Isaac Solomon; Gregory Hill, vice president of finance and corporate services; Therese Turner Jones, acting operations VP; and Diana Wilson Patrick, general counsel and bank secretary.
