The Denver Broncos stretched their winning streak to nine games, edging the Washington Commanders 27-26 in an overtime finish to stay atop the AFC West on Sunday (November 30).

Bo Nix led the charge, throwing for 321 yards and a touchdown, keeping the Broncos in control despite Washington’s repeated comebacks.

Denver held leads of 13-7 in the second quarter and 20-14 entering the fourth, but the Commanders kept clawing back. In overtime, RJ Harvey scored a touchdown for Denver, only for Marcus Mariota to respond with a TD pass to Terry McLaurin. The winning moment came when Nik Bonitto swatted away Washington’s two-point conversion attempt, sealing the Broncos’ victory.

Without injured quarterback Jayden Daniels, Mariota threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to stop Washington from falling to a seventh straight defeat.
