Reggae singer Jahazeil Myrie has confirmed the heartbreaking news of the passing of his brother, Miles Myrie, the son of renowned reggae superstar Mark ‘Buju Banton’ Myrie.

Miles, aged 20, resided in the United States at the time of his demise. While Jahazeil did not disclose the circumstances surrounding his brother’s death, he emphasised that he did not consider it his responsibility to do so.

Jahazeil recently took to Instagram to mourn the loss of his beloved sibling, sharing a poignant photo of the two along with Popcaan’s sombre single Only Jah Know, accompanied by a broken heart emoji. Jahazeil described Miles as a soul with pure intentions and recalled their close bond growing up.
