Calabar High School’s hunt for sporting success continues as they are currently seeking head coaches for both football and athletics programmes.
The contract of football coach Andrew Price was not renewed after his three-year tenure ended and while not official, the contract of athletics coach Corey Bennett will not be renewed also.
On Sunday, the management of Calabar High published an advertisement for the vacant Football Program Head Coach position.
Price had taken over as head coach of the football programme from David Lalor in 2022.

Calabar have not won the Manning Cup since 2005 but for the first time in many years, they advanced to the second round in 2024.
Meanwhile, although it has not been confirmed, sources indicated that Calabar are also searching for an athletics head coach as Bennett’s three-year contract has expired and will not be renewed.
Calabar have not won the ISSA Athletics Championship since 2018, and under Bennett’s tutelage, the boys from Red Hills Road finished third in 2023, 2024 and second in 2025.
But during that same three-year period, Bennett led Hydel High girls to two Champs titles as he had the tremendous job of coaching two schools simultaneously.
