Campari lovers cash out during first Respect The Bitter Holiday Vibes Roadshow

Five lucky lovers of the  brand Campari, grabbed  J$341,100 during the first Campari Respect The Bitter Holiday Day Vibes Roadshow in Clarendon on November 4.

During the first stop at the Old Police Station Lawn, the Campari team rolled out the money machine from which patron Danesha Anderson grabbed $106,000 in cash during a period of one minute; followed by Shamara Watson, who grabbed a whopping $127,300 and Kelisha Maxwell with $89,900.

Anderson said “this Christmas gift” will be used to complete a concrete roof for a two-bedroom house in Clarendon, for which she has been funding the construction. 

“Hopefully, I can move in for Christmas! A chruu yuh no know how mi pray fi some money! About a year and a half now, soon two years I’ve wanted to finish my house,” the 27-year-old secretary said in an interview after her prize was transferred directly to her bank account on Friday night.

On the other hand, Watson said she will be using her cash prize to purchase a refrigerator and laptop for work during this festive season. 

At the second stop, White Palms Plaza, two other lucky Campari lovers – Rosemarie Wallace and Joel Johnson – were also given the opportunity to grab for cash. Wallace grabbed $5,200, while Johnson grabbed $12,700.

At both locations, cash prize presentations were followed by an energetic performance from Campari’s Brand Ambassador and dancehall artiste, Aidonia.

Pavel Smith, marketing manager at J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, said Campari was pleased that patrons were able to cash in on the offerings of the Campari Respect The Bitter Holiday Vibes Roadshow.

“This holiday campaign is really an extension of the Respect the Bitter campaign where we are recognising and giving back to our brand lovers, celebrating them and their work throughout the year. We have all worked hard all year, and hard work deserves to be rewarded. So, the campaign is really all about communicating and connecting with our consumers, giving back while having a great time as we kick off the Holiday Vibes,” Smith said. 

Smith also encouraged patrons to look out for news on the upcoming stops in the Campari Respect The Bitter Holiday Vibes Roadshows.

“On November 25th we will be in St Ann and December 16th look out for us in St Catherine! Please, follow us on social media @CampariCaribbean to keep up with us. We are coming with vibes and excitement with live performances by Charly Black and Beenie Man – you don’t want to miss the truck!” he said.

“We have a lot in store for our consumers with all the activities geared towards celebrating and rewarding them during the holiday season. We will have dance competitions, sound clash competitions and live music. Consumers have the chance to win spot prizes as well as cash prizes for participating. The highlight is that for each stop of the Roadshow, we will be rewarding two patrons with up to $70,000 towards their holiday wish. We will also have a money machine on-site where lucky patrons will have the chance to grab cash to celebrate the holidays,” he said.

Friday’s roadshow was hosted by Yanique ‘Curvy Diva’ Barrett and Bishop Escobar with bar specials from Campari.
