Tosh Alexander, who was born in the United States to Jamaican parents, was recently in Jamaica on set with Campari, when she gave some updates on her latest engagements which include her recently released hit single, My Ting Different on which she collabed with American rapper and songwriter, Lady London.

Tosh also starred as the leading sensual lady in Campari’s recently launched Red Passion – Embrace the Mix campaign.

In the past, Tosh collaborated with a variety of musicians, including Pharrell, Busta Rhymes, Vybz Kartel, Ky-Mani Marley among others. Here’s an Embrace the Mix moment brought to you by Campari Red Passion to get to know her some more:

  1. Who is Tosh?

Answer: I am a musician and one who has been pursuing music for many years of her life. I am also a model, another field that I thoroughly enjoy. I am a Jamaican woman with a passion to entertain through singing and dancing. I am a foodie, ‘mi love mi belly’, I also love my family and I am very God fearing.

  1. What has it been like working with Campari on the Red Passion, Embrace the Mix campaign?

Answer: Campari has an amazing team here. I absolutely love the crew, they are so energetic and talented. There are so many different creative and charismatic talents behind the scenes. These people show up every day, getting it all together, all the different things that need to get done are always done. There is a lot of fun, laughter, conversations and insights and I feel really privileged to be among such talented people.

  1. What is your favourite Campari cocktail mix and how do you think it reflects your personality?

Answer: Since I was introduced to Campari and grapefruit soda, that has been my go-to mix. It’s a mixture of daring and sweet and that’s me, very daring and very sweet (lol)!

  1. Can you tell us about any current or upcoming projects or collaborations you’re excited about and share some of your passions with us?

Answer: I am most passionate about my family, and this might sound cliche, but I love to read and learn. I also love to travel. I was a part-time flight attendant so that made me see the world and I loved it.

I recently dropped a new single with Lady London called My Ting Different and it is exactly as the title says and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it so go stream it now. The video and the excitement around it is so fun and the ladies will be popping it to this song (lol). This is a fusion of R&B and Dancehall to represent both my backgrounds in the States and Jamaica and this is what most of my music is like (representation).

  1. Can you share a bit about your early life and how you first got into music?

Answer: I was born in New York, and I have lived between the States and Jamaica my whole life. I got into music through my parents and family members who found every reason for us to sing and get together and dance and just enjoy music. At a very early age, when my parents realised that I could sing, they put me in positions that would have allowed me to exude that talent and just perform. I was always in talent shows and always singing in class. As I got older, I found ways to put myself in the position where I could climb the ladder of success and pursue a music career.
