While jumping on the streets of Kingston on Sunday, April 27, for the annual Jamaica Carnival Road March event, there were five highlights revellers were unable to miss.

Those were: the extremely vibrant Campari Red Passion mural, Campari Boulevard, Campari stage crossing, Campari ‘Embrace The Mix’ wall and the Campari party bus.

Throughout the celebrations, these creations provided the perfect backdrop for striking photographs, impromptu dancing, and vibrant social moments. The bold and artistic road mural started the capital’s day by turning heads even before revellers hit the road, as they woke up to the rich artistry and storytelling of the male and female energies of carnival in one piece.

The mural, which is located at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Worthington Avenue in St Andrew, beautifully illustrates not just the Campari Red Passion tagline ‘Embrace The Mix’, but also a grand connection between their male and female audiences with cocktails in hand.

Anthony ‘Taoszen’ Smith, muralist who created the sketch of the road mural, during an interview before the creation came to life, said after the vision was told to him of what the Campari team wanted for carnival in Jamaica, he visualized a bold, Afrocentric celebration of Red Passion, which, to him, is a tribute to the spirit of carnival and the vibrancy of Jamaican culture.

“The mural is about a movement, connection, and the beautiful complexity of our people. Painted directly on the road surface, the artwork transforms the street into a vibrant, communal space, alive with colour rhythm and storytelling. Through this living canvas, we’re showing what it truly means to Embrace The Mix,” Smith said.

“This collaboration with Campari is for the people. It’s more than just a visual. It’s an experience. A moment of pride, joy and cultural expression that invites everyone to step into the energy,” he said.

The bold red Campari party bus was one that could not have been missed on the roads, with around 20 selected Campari brand ambassadors and social media influencers alike, going on tours with it since earlier last week when attending lead-up events.

For a second year, Campari returned with its grand stage crossing build-out for partnering bands Xodus and YardMas’ revellers to cross. In addition to crossing, there were high-energy performances by Ayetian with his popular songs Balance and Tick; Lyrikal with his hit singles such as Happy Place and Voice, directly from the Carnival trucks as they passed by Campari Boulevard, which was also located on Trafalgar Road.

Dominic Bell, Communications Manager, J Wray & Nephew Limited, said based on the feedback from revellers, onlookers and patrons on Campari Boulevard, all facets of Campari’s executions for carnival were embraced this year.

“We wanted to paint the town red, and we successfully did just that. We wanted to create spaces where art, culture, and Campari’s bold spirit collided — and we’re thrilled to see how much the people embraced it. Every performance, every photo, every interaction told a story of passion, and that’s exactly what Campari stands for,” Bell said.

“The activations were more than just attractions — they were cultural statements, symbolizing Campari’s continued commitment to pushing boundaries and celebrating Caribbean creativity in all its forms. From 10:00am to 6:00pm, the Campari Boulevard complete with our mural, stage crossing, and branded dancing wall, the addition of Junkanoo dancers, stilt walkers and the UWI Panoridim steel pan orchestra, were buzzing with life, laughter, and pure vibes, solidifying Campari’s position as a leader in unforgettable lifestyle experiences,” he said.

While the specially curated Campari Boulevard and Stage Crossing brought high-energy performances and immersive vibes that resonated with the crowd’s spirit, the iconic Campari Embrace the Mix Wall offered revellers a canvas to leave their mark, capturing the essence of self-expression that the brand champions.

This year, Campari celebrates three years in partnership with Xodus and YardMas Carnival, the two largest Carnival bands on the island.
