With the ISSA High School Swim Championships kicking off on Friday, the Campion College Swim Team, famously known as the Campion Crocs, is charging into the national spotlight as the team to beat.
Fresh off a high-energy team time trial held on January 10, 2026, the Crocs have sent a clear message: they are race-ready, confident, and firing on all cylinders ahead of ISSA 2026, scheduled for January 23 at the National Aquatic Centre.
Built for Championships
Campion enters ISSA with serious pedigree, cementing the programme’s status as one of Jamaica’s most formidable school swim teams. Over ten current national swimmers make up the Crocs’ roster, including Goodwill Games gold medalists, CARIFTA finalists, national record holders, and Pan Am representatives. This blend of experience and youth gives Campion unmatched strength across individual events and relays.
Star Power Across the Pool
Supporters can expect fireworks from standout performers such as Julian Willoughby, Noah Parker, Anna-Lyssa Cooke, Charli Taylor, Aiden Seaton, Zuri Coke, and Victoria Van Der Leer, carrying forward a legacy of high-performance racing set by recent graduates Aliyah Heaven, Dirk Harrison, and Timothy Wynter, among others. Add to that a wave of national-squad newcomers bringing fresh speed and versatility, and the Crocs’ line-up promises nonstop excitement.
Leadership That Delivers
Guiding the charge is Head Coach Gillian Millwood, one of Jamaica’s most respected swimming technicians and an experienced national team coach. Her international exposure and athlete-first philosophy have helped shape a culture where academic excellence and elite performance go hand in hand.
“Our athletes are prepared, focused, and hungry,” Millwood shared. “ISSA is always special, and this team is ready to race.”
With powerful relay line-ups, depth across all strokes, and momentum from their January time trial, the Campion Crocs arrive at ISSA 2026 poised to make a major statement.
When the starter’s horn sounds on January 23, all eyes will be on the Crocs.
