Jamaica’s only college lifestyle brand, Campus Elite has teamed up with Red Bull Jamaica for a revolutionary event, Red Bull Selector, to showcase the versatility of Disc Jocks (DJs) in the region.
This showdown is set to take place at Campus Elite’s annual UWI Carnival after party, D’ Aftermas, on March 15, and will provide the ultimate test for the DJs to showcase their skills.
Red Bull Selector boasts a unique twist, unlike other events, that allows patrons to dictate what is played by the DJs, forcing them outside their comfort zones. Patrons will have the opportunity to determine the musical direction in real time with the use of red and blue voting tools, shifting between genres as the night progresses.
“This event is a game changer, as patrons will now hold the power in choosing what genre they want to hear throughout the duration of the event. The Disc Jocks are going to have to be prepared for anything, as this challenges them, not knowing what selection will be made by the patrons, and also, by way of doing this, each performance holds a level of unpredictability that is rare,” shares the CEO of Campus Elite, Sandre Malcolm.
With this partnership, Campus Elite is also curating a special experience for corporate professionals in its ‘Degrees to Fete’ campaign. Young professionals in Jamaica who have attained a minimum Bachelor’s degree will be provided with exclusive VIP invitations to the event.

“This isn’t just another event. It’s a one-of-a-kind fete experience, designed to bring Jamaica’s brightest young professionals in an atmosphere of energy, networking, and excitement, fueled by Red Bull’s signature high-energy entertainment,” Malcolm continued.
The Red Bull Selector VIP experience, similar to the previous year, is sponsored by the ultimate summer festival, Dream Weekend, ensuring that these young professionals are fully feted. Hosted by the energetic ‘Road Marshall’, this year’s event will be headlined by Jamaican powerhouse duo Silent Addy and Creep Chromatic, who goes by Silent Matic, as well as renowned Soca DJ and producer, Travis World, representing the respective island of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
“The space where Soca and Dancehall meet is in need of constant innovation. I think Red Bull Selector will be one of those moments—an all-star Caribbean DJ cast hosted by Jamaica’s top touring MC means a little bit of everything for the patrons. No island will be left behind because there will always be someone on stage representing,” explained Brush1, host of this year’s event.
Campus Elite launched the first-ever D’Aftermas in 2023 and is also the promoter of the weekly RR Wnzdz Club series at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge. The brand has also executed events such as Wet Fete held at UWI and Big Boat Tailgate in partnership with Xodus Carnival and Major Lazer.
With the continued demand for more creativity and spontaneity in the Jamaican party scene, Campus Elite and Red Bull Selector are excited to see this event’s success. UWI Carnival D’Aftermas’ crowd-driven concept explores the broader trend of interactive entertainment, engaging attendees in a way that traditional performances have never done, especially in Jamaica.
