Chinese restaurant New Ho King has become an unexpected beneficiary of Kendrick Lamar’s Euphoria, a diss track directed to rap star Drake.
Since the release of the song, in which Lamar name-dropped the restaurant, New Ho King has been bombarded with orders for its now-famous fried rice.
“I be at New Ho King eatin’ fried rice with a dip sauce and blammy, crodie,” Lamar raps on Euphoria.
The owner of New Ho King, Johnny Lu, revealed in an interview with Billboard that business is booming since the song’s release on Monday, May 1.
“This morning a lot of people texted me saying, ‘that’s your restaurant’? Look at the song,” he said. “[We have] good food and fried rice get more and more rice, the chef’s gonna be busy!”
Fans have also been leaving five-star reviews on Google, mentioning interest in the fried rice since hearing the song as the reason for their visit.

Euphoria was released on Monday, April 29, and has already accumulated 3.3 million views on YouTube. The track has also become one of the main topics in popular discussion.
The 6-minute diss track has left fans satiated after the two-week wait between Drake’s Push Ups and Taylor Made, respectively.
“I can see why Kendrick has been the only rapper to ever win the Pulitzer Prize,” one fan wrote in the comment section of Lamar’s song.
As fans wait for Drake’s rebuttal, the impact of Lamar’s hard-hitting Euphoria has the culture abuzz with a new-found enthusiasm for the sport of rap battles — and fried rice.
