Canadian man charged after ganja found in suitcase at airport

A Canadian man was arrested and later charged on Sunday after a quantity of ganja was allegedly found in his suitcase at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

Charged with possession of ganja, dealing in ganja, and taking steps preparatory to exporting ganja is 20-year-old Rhavjit Singh of an Ontario address.

Police report that about 9:20 am on October 5, airport personnel conducted a search of his suitcase and allegedly found ganja weighing two pounds.

He was subsequently arrested and later charged.

A court date is being finalised.
