Regional carrier Caribbean Airlines on Tuesday (March 11) inked a partnership with the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Boys and Girls Championships as the official airline of the world’s largest high school track and field event.
The partnership reinforces Caribbean Airlines’ commitment to supporting regional sports excellence and youth development. It provides seamless travel solutions for athletes, officials, and spectators attending the highly anticipated sporting event.
“Caribbean Airlines is honoured to partner with ISSA to support the Boys and Girls Championships, an institution that has produced some of the world’s greatest track and field athletes,” said airline CEO Garvin Medera.
“Home is where the heart is, and for Jamaicans, Champs is the heart and soul of our nation. Caribbean Airlines is proud to connect you with this iconic event, bringing you home to experience the electrifying energy of Champs.”
The agreement includes special discounted fares for Champs travellers and branding presence throughout the National Stadium and across the media platforms of the junior athletic development meet.
“Having Caribbean Airlines as our official airline partner elevates the ISSA Boys and Girls Championships profile,” said Keith Wellington, president of ISSA. “Their extensive regional network and commitment to service excellence make them the perfect partner as we continue to build on our tradition of athletic achievement and provide opportunities for our student-athletes to shine on an international stage.”
The partnership follows Caribbean Airlines’ increased frequency with the introduction of daily flights from Fort Lauderdale to Kingston and Montego Bay.

This positions the carrier to better serve the influx of visitors for the Champs, which regularly attracts thousands of international spectators, including college scouts, former competitors, and diaspora returning to witness the next generation of athletic stars.
The 2025 ISSA Boys and Girls Championships will take place from March 25-29 at the National Stadium in St Andrew.
It will feature over 235 schools, including respective defending champions Kingston College Hydel School, and approximately 3,000 athletes competing in a full slate of track and field events.
