Caribbean Angels Inc is set to visit Jamaica this September to make donations to a number of clinics.

The Caribbean Angels Inc is a nonprofit entity, whose goal is to assist individuals within the Caribbean community.

The United States-based organisation is currently hosting a fundraising event in the form of a special raffle. All funds raised will be used to support health clinics in the Caribbean with well-needed medical equipment.

The cost for a ticket is US$20. Tickets are only available for purchase in the United States. The virtual drawing will take place on August 19 at 8:00 pm.

The organisation makes donations to health clinics and hospitals all over the Caribbean by providing well-needed equipment such as but not limited to: walkers, wheelchairs, crutches and neck braces.

Come September 6, there will be a tour in Portmore, St Catherine during which three locations will be visited and donations made over the period.

The health centres that will benefit from the programme are the Waterford Health Clinic, Greater Portmore Health Clinic and Christian Pen Health Clinic.

According to Managing Director Angela Barrett, the group will collaborate with Jamaica Hospital Supplies to secure medical supplies and equipment.

People are being encouraged to donate medicals supplies such as adult diapers, sterile gloves, compression sock, disposable gowns and any other medical supplies. Monetary donations are accepted as well.

Support and contributions will enable the organisation to meet its goal and improve conditions for many Caribbean citizens.

The nonprofit’s aim is to bring awareness to the need for medical supplies within the region and collaborate with others to address the issue.
