The Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao is the home of the Caribbean’s newest luxury adults-only hotel.

The 46-room hotel called the Kura Botanica, formerly Kura Hulanda resort hotel in Willemstad. The Kura Botanica is the second major hotel to open in Willemstad in the last year, joining Best Western’s popular Brion City Hotel, a Best Western Signature Collection Hotel with 72 rooms

The hotel has been renovated, transform and branded a luxury adult-only hotel. It is located in the Kura Hulanda village in the heart of Curacao’s exciting downtown area and boasts a swimming pool (with poolside service), a wellness centre and spa; daily complimentary breakfast.

In a statement announcing its entry into Curacao hotel space, the hotel declared, “all our facilities and our rooms and suites are focussed on the needs, wishes and relaxation of adults,” adding that the focus is the adults-only vibe.

There are three room categories: king rooms, junior suites and “themed suites”.

The latter are rather unique, with each room having its own “theme” from entertainment to fitness to the taste of the local rums.

Every room has a 65-inch flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a cooler, premium TV channels and smart vanity lighting, among other features. Another option is a “wine package” which supplies premium rum for an added fee.

It’s another boost for the island, which has been seeing strong summer performance, as it works to recover its pre-pandemic tourism numbers.
