I, Carole Fox, country manager in Jamaica and I welcome you on behalf of interCaribbean Airways. We are honoured to be a part of this special mixer hosted by the St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association. This is truly a momentous occasion as we come together to celebrate the bridging of our beautiful Caribbean islands.
For over 32 proud years, interCaribbean’s mission has been “Connecting YOU and the Caribbean.” As a true Caribbean airline, every dollar generated stays in our region and it is reinvested into building stronger givebacks and a more sustainable company that supports our people and economies. We have always been steadfastly committed to bringing together the people, cultures, and breathtaking destinations throughout our region via convenient air travel. This is a cherished tradition that fills us with immense pride as we continually strive to enhance and evolve our services.
Our mission to connect the Caribbean took an incredible new step forward on February 6th with the launch of our brand new non-stop route between Bridgetown and Kingston.
This has allowed us to introduce a seamless one-stop connection linking the beautiful islands of Jamaica and St. Lucia. As the largest privately-owned airline in the Caribbean, interCaribbean is thrilled to play a critical role in strengthening ties between these two marquee tourism destinations through enhanced air connectivity.
This is an integral part of interCaribbean’s ‘ReDiscover OUR Caribbean’ campaign — a concerted effort to shine a new light on the unmatched natural scenery, diverse cultures, incredible cuisine, and warm hospitality that define our Caribbean homelands.
By partnering with regional tourist boards and content creators, this campaign aims to showcase each destination’s unique attractions tailored specifically to regional travellers.

Travellers no longer have to endure long transit times via Miami or overnight layovers to experience the vibrant spirit of our two countries. This new route brings the rich cultural tapestry and lively entertainment scene of Jamaica and together with the awe-inspiring natural splendour of St. Lucia’s iconic Pitons this is closer than ever before. This seamless link has opened new doors for each island to welcome more visitors from the region and the ability to share their unique charms, hospitality, and attractions.
We believe that facilitating travel between our islands is about connecting people of the Caribbean bringing them closer together through shared experience fostering unity and pride.
The continued support and dedicated efforts by the St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association and the Jamaica Tourist Board to promote the unparalleled wonders of our Caribbean are absolutely vital to the success of this new route and milestone which we celebrate today.
To all of you celebrating this occasion tonight let me invite you to join us in rediscovering Jamaica and St Lucia through this new route and our ‘Rediscover’ campaign.
Embrace new adventures, new cultures, and unique experiences as we uncover the hidden gems, rich history, vibrant festivals, sustainable eco-adventures, and mouthwatering cuisine that make each of our islands distinct yet united.

To our social media mavens please post, tag, share, or whatever it is you do to spread the word about these exciting new travel opportunities to your followers. To our other media houses thank you as always for the support you give to interCaribbean Airways.
Thank you, and a very good evening to you all.
