CCRP contributed J$500,000 to a roof repair initiative which benefitted three elderly persons in Lionel Town, Clarendon. The initiative was made possible through their collaboration with NDTC for a benefit performance in August 2024. The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) and the National Dance Theatre Company (NDTC) have again partnered for a special charity evening on July 20.

This year’s event, themed ‘An NDTC Evening of Dance’ promises another unforgettable experience at the Little Theatre in Kingston, in support of CCRP’s outreach to Jamaica’s seniors.

Last year’s partnership was a great success, according to the CCRP, as it raised J$790,000 to support community efforts. Last December, J$290,000 helped to provide care packages for seniors in need. The additional J$500,000 went toward roof repairs for three elderly residents in Lionel Town, Clarendon.

As CCRP celebrates its 15th anniversary, the NDTC performance is the fourth in a series of events planned for this milestone year.

“We expect the benefit performance to be marvellous. We are excited to be partnering with the NDTC again,” said Jean Lowrie-Chin, founder and executive chair of CCRP. “They provide world-class entertainment and are a favourite for local and international audiences.”
