The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) has commenced weekly Tai Chi classes for its members.
As part of its vision, CCRP has encouraged its members to engage in physical activity to improve their strength, health and wellness. The classes, led by Tai Chi master Stewart Maxwell, have been well-received by the seniors.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your health. Being physically active can improve your brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen bones and muscles, and improve your ability to do everyday activities.
