In the wake of the devastating submersible tragedy that claimed the lives of five individuals bound for the Titanic wreckage, Celine Dion’s iconic theme song from the 1997 Oscar-winning movie, My Heart Will Go On, is experiencing a significant surge in streaming numbers.

Since the conclusion of the search and rescue operation for the missing submersible, it’s been reported that the song has been streamed over 500,000 times across various platforms. Notably, Spotify alone has registered 522,864 plays of the emotional track since Thursday (June 22), with the numbers continuing to rise on Friday (June 23).

The ill-fated OceanGate submersible embarked on its journey to explore the Titanic shipwreck in the early hours of Sunday morning. Unfortunately, it encountered a communication failure, triggering an extensive multinational search effort that lasted several days.

The search ultimately came to a sombre end on Thursday when a debris field was discovered on the ocean floor, indicating that the submersible had imploded during its descent to the historic shipwreck.
