Champions Frazsiers Whip, Arnett Gardens on top of Jamaica Women’s Premier League

Champions Frazsiers Whip and Arnett Gardens are the early leaders of the Jamaica Women’s Premier League following 3-1 and 3-0 wins over Federal United and UWI Women over the weekend.

Frazsiers Whip lead Zone B with a maximum six points as goals by Christina Salmson, 32nd, 76th and Shauna Kay Chambers, 77th, led them to their second consecutive win.

Valaneque Nicholas had pulled Federal levelled in minute 30, but they conceded two second-half goals to be third on three points after losing their first game of the season.

Springers United are second in Zone B with six points as they dismissed Real MoBay 3-0 with goals from Keshara Bailey (15th), Jordan Maxwell (25th) and Trishelle Thorpe (50th). Real Mobay, which was losing their second game are pointless.

Los Perfectos beat Mile Gully 3-0 and moved into third place in Zone B with three points after securing their first win of the season. Mile Gully are yet to secure a point and are fifth.

Arnett Gardens lead Zone A with six points following their 3-0 beating of UWI. Sade Berry (14th), Suen Gregory (18th) and Anna Kay Rochards (67th). UWI are in fifth spot on one point. Cavalier moved into second spot on four points with a 2-1 win over Wifi United, who slipped to third spot on three points.

Jynell Graham (30th) and Oneilla Perkins (44th) scored for Cavalier, while Evernique McCleary responded for Wifi.

Proven Girls and Real Mona drew 1-1. Alexia Evans gave Real Mona the lead in the 45+1 minute, but Amoy McKenzie earned a share of the points netting in the 84th minute. Proven Girls are sitting in fourth spot while Real Mona are sixth, both with a point each.
