Minister of Labour and Social Security, Pearnel Charles Jr is calling for a revamping of the data collection and analysis methods used to track the impact of the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education (PATH).
He made the call while presenting at the second staging of town hall meetings at the St. Gabriel’s Anglican Church in May Pen on Wednesday (March 13).
“There is a need for more comprehensive data collection and analysis methodology to accurately measure the effectiveness of PATH. Implementing robust systems and software to monitor the progress of beneficiaries will significantly contribute to the programme’s overhaul, ensuring accuracy and bolstering credibility,” said Chales Jr.
The town hall meeting featured representatives from the Ministry of Education (MOE), local agencies, sixth-form students and PATH beneficiaries who discussed potential enhancements to PATH
“Partnering with stakeholders is a key strategy for the Ministry’s transformation of PATH. Forming alliances with organisations dedicated to building a better Jamaica reflects our desire to fulfil the Vision 2030 goals,” said Charles Jr.
As these town hall meetings and public consultations continue, the Ministry encourages participation from other stakeholders and the public to engage in the discussions regarding the transformation of PATH.
