Tammy Abraham was in splendid form on Sunday (January 24), leading Chelsea to a convincing 3-1 win over Luton Town in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Abraham becomes the first Englishman to score a hatrick for Chelsea in the FA Cup, since Frank Lampard in 2007.

The Blues, playing at Stamford Bridge, started off at a blistering pace as Abraham netted in the 10th minute. Amid the snow and freezing temperatures, the 23-year-old forward capitalised on a pass from Timo Werner to give Chelsea the lead.

Five minutes later, and faced with a James Reese cross, Abraham returned with a superb header to double the Luton deficit.

At that stage, a high-flying Chelsea looked set to run away with the game, but Luton, changing their formation, pulled a goal back in the 30th minute through midfielder Jordan Clark.

Now, facing a 2-1 scoreline, the London snow that had settled on the pitch before kick-off had gone and the Frank Lampard-managed hosts, went in at the break keeping pressure on the Luton goal.

The second half was more challenging for Chelsea, despite moving the ball well, but thankfully custodian Kepa Arrizabalaga redeemed himself for any question marks over him for the Luton goal with an excellent save in 68th.

The match of the match, Abraham, effectively ended the bout in the 73rd-minute, finished off a slick move to make it 3-1.

Arguably, the one disappointment from the second half was that Timo Werner did not convert a late penalty.

Chelsea next plays away to Barnsley in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
