Christopher Taylor of Titans Grack Club was the fastest qualifier in the Men’s 100m preliminaries, clocking 10.27 (0.2 mps) as the Jamaican National Titans’ Athletics Championship got going this morning.

These early preliminaries 100m race are to qualify for the first round of the event set to run this evening, when the big guns show up.

Taylor, who won the World Junior 400m title as a 15-year-old in 2015, has returned from an anti-doping suspension and has switched from the 400m that brought him to sixth in the 2021 Olympic Games final to the 100m and 200m sprints.

Taylor is one of seven runners who have made the time for the first round of the Men’s 100m set for this evening, when the likes of Kishane Thompson, Oblique Seville and Ackeem Blake will join the fray.
