In celebration of Child’s Month and the importance of nurturing healthy futures, CIBC Caribbean partnered with Just Medz Medical Centre to host a special dental clinic for children and caregivers from the Annie Dawson Home for Children, delivering care, comfort, and confidence through the power of healthy smiles.

Held on May 17, 2026, the initiative provided free dental checks and cleaning services to 22 children and seven caregivers, creating an atmosphere filled with encouragement, compassion, and reassurance. The clinic was supported by a dedicated team of three volunteer dentists who generously donated their time and expertise to ensure each participant received personalised attention and quality care.

For many of the children, the experience represented more than a routine dental visit. It was a reminder that their wellbeing matters and that there are individuals and organisations committed to supporting their growth, health, and happiness.

Adding to the impact of the initiative, Cari-Med provided oral healthcare packages for every child and caregiver following treatment, equipping them with essential tools to continue practising healthy dental habits long after the day’s activities concluded.

Renee Whitehorne, Marketing Manager for CIBC Caribbean, reflected on the significance of the initiative and the bank’s continued commitment to community development.

“Child’s Month is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and smile confidently,” said Whitehorne. “At CIBC Caribbean, we believe meaningful community impact often begins with simple acts of care and support. Through this initiative, we wanted these children and caregivers to feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to prioritise their health and wellbeing.”
