

CIBC Caribbean is rewarding clients with cash in the bank with the launch of its first-ever ‘Refer a Friend’ programme.
The rewards programme, scheduled to start in March, is being piloted to its Jamaican clients. It seeks to reward eligible clients for referring friends and family by encouraging them to open and fund qualifying CIBC deposit accounts.
With this referral initiative, CIBC clients are paid for each successful referral, with the potential of claiming cash on up to five referrals during the promotional period, which runs until May 30.
“We believe our clients are our best advocates, and this initiative allows them to be rewarded for promoting our products and services to new prospects. This programme is about more than just referrals; it is about creating a community of clients who can share their positive experiences and help us grow,” says Nigel Holness, managing director of CIBC Jamaica.
“In addition, clients can support their loved ones in benefiting from CIBC’s attractive interest rates offered on these deposit accounts, which is aimed at helping them realise their dreams. By leveraging our digital capabilities and unique products, we are confident that our clients will see the value in participating and spreading the word about us – not only for themselves but also for their loved ones,” he added.

As an added convenience to clients and referred prospects, the entire ‘Refer a Friend’ process is conveniently managed online, from referring to account opening. The referral programme helps the bank to stand out in its competitive market space, as it leads the way in incentivising clients for their valuable endorsements.
