An adaptation of the fantasy romance film Cinderella titled Cinderella’s Curse is now in the works.

The film is set to hit the big screen in October of this year and will be produced by Champ Dog Films and released through the American Film Market (AFM).

Cinderella’s Curse is expected to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with a plot twist moving away from the traditional typical fairy tale plot to a more grim setting.

The film will be directed and produced by Louisa Warren who is well known for working on films such as The Ghost of Borley Rectory, Cannibal Cabin, The Suit Weareth the Man and others.

The cast includes Kelly Rian Sanson (Cinderella), Mya Brown (Evil step-sister), Lauren Budd (Evil step-sister), Danielle Scott (Stepmother)and Chrissie Wunna (Fairy Godmother).

The Cinderella remake follows such as the Pooh: Blood and Honey and The Mean One, an adaptation of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
