A female detainee at the Four Paths Police Station in Clarendon had to undergo surgery to remove a knife from a cavity inside her body.

It was reported that on Saturday, February 8, the woman complained of feeling ill and was taken to the May Pen Hospital for medical attention.

While there, an X-ray was performed, which revealed the presence of a knife inside her body.

The discovery prompted immediate medical intervention, and surgery was performed to remove the object.

She was subsequently admitted for further treatment and observation.
