That didn’t go as planned.

A Clarendon man was fatally stabbed in a dispute Friday but the wound was self-inflicted.

According to the police, 44-year-old Owen Watson was engaged in a fight with a man on the Hayes main road in the vicinity of Francine’s Wholesale in Hayes, Clarendon.

It is further reported that Watson, who is also known as Raga, stabbed at his opponent and missed. In missing his target, Watson accidentally stabbed himself in the region of the groin.  

Watson, a labourer of Jasmine Place, Newtown Phase 1, Clarendon bled to death from the self-inflicted wound.
