Legendary music producer Clive Hunt has dropped a new single under his Iconic Azul label.
The track, titled My Heart Cries, features international reggae artist Lutan Fyah and is now available on all major streaming platforms as of September 6, 2024, through Ineffable Records.
The song delivers a poignant message about the challenges and uncertainties facing the world today.
Lutan Fyah describes it as a reflection on the confusion people experience when feeling caught between moving forward and backward.

“This song is a feeling I get from seeing what’s happening today in the world where people are not sure whether they are going backward or forward,” he said.
This collaboration with Clive Hunt represents a significant milestone for Lutan Fyah. He shared his admiration for the producer, whom he views as a mentor in the music industry, and expressed his excitement about their joint project.
“I grew up in this music business hearing about the Right Honourable Clive Hunt. I thought it was just Jamaican hype up talk, then I read about him. When I met this man, it felt like I met a musical father figure who can guide my sound and creativity. Years after, we decided to create this song, and he liked it, so we moved forward from there,” said Lutan Fyah.

Clive Hunt, well known for his influential role in reggae music, also expressed his enthusiasm for working with Lutan Fyah.
“Lutan Fyah is a favourite of mine and I’ve always wanted to do something for him. So, myself alongside Chaka Scott, we co-produced it. Chaka actually suggested Lutan to me after hearing the rhythm,” Hunt said.
My Heart Cries is the second single from the Nyabinghi Love rhythm, which also features other prominent reggae artists like Maxi Priest. The rhythm was created by Clive Hunt and his collaborators, with more artistes expected to join soon.
