VIP Attractions Limited, operators of Club Kingston, says that the popular departure lounge will remain temporarily closed after last Friday’s (March 14) fire incident at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

In a statement, VIP Attractions noted that the decision is a precautionary measure while assessments and restoration efforts are underway.

“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and we are working diligently to resume normal operations as soon as possible. All guests and staff are safe, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the emergency response teams for their swift and professional handling of the situation,” the company explained.

“We take the safety of our guests and staff very seriously, and we appreciate the quick response from all involved,” said Tanya Beckford, CEO at VIP Attractions. “We are committed to a smooth recovery process and will keep our valued customers informed as we move towards reopening. We thank the Fire Department and PAC Kingston Airport Ltd, operators of the Norman Manley International Airport, for their prompt actions to ensure the safety of all.”
