It is a packed schedule for charity organisation Children of Jamaica Outreach (COJO) Inc., which embarked on its annual mission trip to Jamaica, scheduled for May 18–24.

This impactful week of service and celebration will include its scholarship awards luncheon on Wednesday (May 21) at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, where 18 deserving wards of the State will be awarded scholarships to pursue tertiary education.

COJO founder and executive director, Gary Williams, expressed his excitement about returning to Jamaica for this meaningful occasion. “It’s always a privilege to invest in the lives of Jamaica’s youth,” said Williams. “This year’s mission is especially important as we expand our efforts to support more students and impact the development of underserved youth.”

A key highlight of the trip will be COJO’s ongoing support of the Granville Place of Safety in Trelawny.

On Friday COJO, in partnership with Bahia Principe Jamaica, will host a special luncheon for the residents of the facility. That morning, Granville Place of Safety will also receive a donation of essential appliances, courtesy of COJO, as part of its commitment to improving the living conditions of children in state care.

The 2025 mission trip is made possible through the generous support of Bahia Principe Jamaica, Dr Sandra Lindsay, JetBlue, and CARIMED, whose partnerships continue to uplift vulnerable youth and strengthen communities across Jamaica.

COJO remains steadfast in its mission to enrich the lives of underserved children, offering hope and opportunity through education and healthcare.

Founded in 1994, COJO Inc. is a New York-based non-profit organisation dedicated to helping underprivileged children in Jamaica and the US, particularly those in State care.

COJO provides scholarships, mentorship, and critical resources to support youth development and success.
