The Jamaica Meteorological Service is advising citizens to expect mostly cloudy conditions, with scattered afternoon and evening showers across most parishes, and thunderstorms mainly across northern parishes today (March 15).
The Met Service said that a cold front and its pre-frontal trough currently across the northern Caribbean is producing an area of cloudiness, showers and isolated thunderstorms.
The system is expected to bring unstable weather conditions across Jamaica starting today into Thursday.
Fisherfolk and other marine interests, especially those inshore and offshore the north coast, are being urged to exercise caution as sea conditions are expected to deteriorate due to thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Citizens can expect mostly cloudy conditions on Thursday with afternoon and evening showers across southern and northern parishes.
Additionally, windy conditions with slightly cooler-than-normal temperatures are expected mainly across northern parishes.
The Met Service says it will continue to monitor the system.
