The Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce (MIIC), in a bid to stimulate growth in the micro, small and medium-size enterprises (MSMEs) subsector, has partnered with several private and public-sector entities to stage a series of roadshows across the island.
The national initiative, dubbed the ‘MSME Business Road show’, is slated to begin on Thursday, August 10, at the Golf View Hotel in Mandeville, Manchester.
It will include business pitch competitions, business forums, expos and presentations, among other things.
From the roadshow, MSME operators will be able to access business development support and advisory services, government incentives, learn about exporting opportunities and digital technological solutions to support their businesses to maximise operations and boost productivity.
They will also have a chance to win up to J$300,000 in cash prizes to support their business.
On September 21, October 5 and 26, the roadshow will stop in Kingston, Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, respectively.
