Purity Bakeries, which trades as Consolidated Bakeries (Jamaica), has postponed today’s (July 21) scheduled annual general meeting (AGM).

This is the second time since the start of the year that the baking company is postponing its AGM, which should have been held in April.

The company has advised that the AGM planned for today had to be postponed due to the changing regulations of hosting AGM’s during the pandemic.

The company said it regretted any inconveniences caused and would advise of the new AGM date.

In late April, the directors of Purity advised in late April that its AGM, scheduled for April 28, would be postponed until further notice due to the COVID safety protocols enacted by the Government of Jamaica.

The new date of today was fixed thereafter but is again being postponed for a second time.
