Constable Linroy Codner dies after hit-and-run incident in St James

 A policeman who was severely injured in a hit-and-run incident earlier this month has died.

Constable Linroy Codner passed away at the Falmouth Hospital’s Cornwall Regional Hospital Wing at approximately 10:48 am, on Sunday, October 20.

 Codner sustained multiple brain injuries after being struck by a white Toyota Probox while on duty in the Granville area of St James on Friday, October 4.

He had been receiving treatment in intensive care before being transferred to the Falmouth facility. The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) through its Chaplaincy Branch has informed Constable Codner’s immediate family of his passing and continues to offer them support during this difficult time.

JCF colleagues expressed their sorrow at the loss, with many calling for prayers and support for the grieving family.

Codner’s passing has been described as a significant loss to the force.
