The Jamaica Meteorological Service says citizens can expect a return to cooler temperatures and windy conditions for much of the island next week as another cold front barrels towards the western Caribbean.

In the meantime, the Met Service, in its Saturday morning (February 17) forecast, noted that weather will remain sunny and windy for the weekend, especially over southern parishes. This is due to the lingering dominance of a high pressure ridge and a low-level jet stream, which will both persist into Sunday.

The maximum temperature expected for cities Kingston and Montego Bay is 31 and 30 degrees Celcius respectively.
