Vice Chairman and Director of Dolla Financial Services, Christopher Yeung has tendered his resignation to focus on other companies within the Group.

He will remain as the managing director of First Rock Private Equity Limited.

Dollar Director, Dr Michael Banbury has been appointed as vice chairman, replacing Yeung.

Guardsman promotes Sunil Bunsee

Guardsman Group has announced the appointment of Sunil Bunsee to the position of Regional Manager – Western Region. Bunsee was formerly the Regional Manager for the Negril region and will now undertake the leadership of the four parishes which include Westmoreland, Hanover, St James and Trelawny.

With more than 30 years of experience in the Maritime, Aviation, Industrial and Hospitality security industries and 18 years of leading security operations in the western region at Guardsman, Bunsee has continuously demonstrated his ability to deliver results of high efficiency and sustainable business growth.

Having spent several years running the security operations in all western parishes in Jamaica, Bunsee has been integral in the strategic planning, implementation and management of some of the company’s largest and most intricate contracts, including a host of international tourist destinations in the west.

Diane Edwards now at MSBM

Former head of Jamaica’s trade and investment agency, Jampro, Diane Edwards is now leading the professional services unit of the Mona School of Business and Management (MSBM).

Edwards will drive the continuing development of the unit to build on its core strengths in executive education and training, management consulting, business process improvement, project management, and business research. She is also expected to expand its services in Human Resources, technology, trade and industry development. 

Further, Edwards will deepen partnerships with the Project Management Institute, the International Institute of Business Analysis, the CILT Caribbean, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK) and expand to include other overseas entities.

Edwards succeeds Franklin Johnston who will continue to serve the MSBM in the capacity of chief consultant. She joins the MSBM after nearly a decade at the helm of Jampro, where she and her team led the expansion of the BPO sector and were instrumental in driving the government’s Business Environment Reform Agenda.
