Corporate Movements | Brian Wynter joins PBS board, et al

In ‘Corporate Movements’ this week, regional information technology firm, Productive Business Solutions Limited (PBS) has appointed former Bank of Jamaica governor, Brian Wynter, as an independent member of its audit committee. The appointment took effect on August 8, 2022. 

JFP Limited board resignation

Contract furniture manufacturer, JFP Limited has advised that one of its directors, Julie Thompson-James has resigned from its board. The resignation took effect on August 5, 2022.

Wisynco appoints deputy CEO

Manufacturing and distribution company, Wisynco is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Scott to the position of deputy chief executive officer (CEO). The appointment is effective August 24, 2022.

Lasco Manufacturing GM retires

Food manufacturing company, Lasco Manufacturing Limited is advising that general manager, Robert Parkins has retired and is no longer employed to the company, effective July 30, 2022. The company has further advised that Parkins’ duties have been reassigned within the company.

West Indian Tobacco board appointment

The West Indian Tobacco Company Limited has appointed Andrés Lorenzo as a director of the company with effect from August 1, 2022.

HEART/NSTA Trust welcomes new MD

The HEART/NSTA Trust welcomes the appointment of leadership scholar, Dr Taneisha Ingleton as managing director of the Trust effective August 1, 2022. She replaces Dr Janet Dyer, whose contract was not renewed by the board last April.

The board of directors, management and staff has wished Ingleton well in this new role, building on past successes to deliver a better future for the trust and the nation. The board has also thanked Novelette Denton-Prince for her “stellar leadership” as interim managing director.

Denton-Prince has reverted to her substantive position as senior director of corporate services.
