Corporate Movements | Carreras, AMG Packaging, JSE and more announce changes

In ‘Corporate Movements’ this week, Carreras Company secretary Verona Williamson has resigned, effective November 30. 

Its legal and external affairs manager, Imega Breese-McNab, has been appointed as secretary effective December 1.

The cigarette company indicated that Williamson will remain a director of the board and finance director. 

New company mentor for AMG

The board of directors of AMG Packaging & Paper Company Limited has appointed Cristina Matalon as the company’s mentor effective November 21.

New director for TJH

TransJamaican Highway Limited has  appointed John Bell to the board of directors effective November 3.

New director at JSE

The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) has a new director in Tracy-Ann Spence, who was appointed effective November 22. Her appointment was confirmed at a board meeting held the same day.

Lissant Mitchell joins JFP board

The board of directors of JFP Limited has announced the appointment of Lissant Mitchell as director effective October 31. He has since been appointed chairman of the audit committee on October 31, and mentor on November 7.

Norman Peart resigns from KLE board

KLE Group Limited has advised that Norman Peart tendered his resignation from the board of directors of the company and from its audit committee as of November 14.

KLE says Peart’s resignation from the audit committee was in no way related to any disagreement with respect to accounting principles, financial statement disclosure, or any other material issue impacting the committee or its functions.

Express Catering appoints Professor Andrew Spencer

Effective November 7, Professor Andrew Spencer has been appointed to the audit committee of the board of directors of Express Catering Limited.

JPS appoints two senior executives

The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has announced the appointment of two senior executives. They are Pia Baker and Earl Manning.

Baker has been appointed to the position of senior vice president, customer experience and commercial while Manning was appointed to the position of chief technology officer. Both appointments took effect on November 9.
