
In another edition of ‘Corporate Movements’ this week, Vaughn Martin has been appointed as interim group chief financial officer of Massy Holdings. The appointment is effective October 1, 2022.
Victoria Mutual Investments (VMIL) has advised that Tamara Waul-Douglas, senior manager of sales and client relations for Victoria Mutual Wealth Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of VMIL, has tendered her resignation to pursue personal interests. The resignation is effective August 12, 2022.

The company has thanked Waul Douglas for her service and contribution to the VMIL Group and wishes her great success in her future endeavours.
Margaritaville (Turks) Limited has advised that Tania Waldron Gooden has been appointed to the board of directors, effective August 22, 2022.

New ATL Automotive Group boss
Uché McLean, senior sales manager within the ATL Automotive Group, has been appointed the head of business of Porsche Jamaica, effective September 1, 2022.
McLean joined the country’s leading automotive dealership in 2018 as a sales executive at Audi Kingston and quickly rose to become the sales manager of the brand’s Kingston location in 2020. He has helped the brand increase its sales and led Audi Jamaica to the highest sales figures in its history, along with attaining the number two premium brand position in the local automotive industry.
ATL Group executive chairman Adam Stewart has expressed pride in McLean’s upward movement and applauded his dedication and passion, which has earned him this new position.
New Public Defender appointed
Queen’s Counsel, Carolyn Reid-Cameron is to be Jamaica’s new Public Defender, succeeding attorney-at-law, Arlene Harrison Henry, who retired in April.

Reid-Cameron, who is the second woman to be so appointed, is expected to take up the post next month. She has appeared in many high-profile cases and is described in legal circles as a fearless defender of the legal rights of her clients and an excellent defence lawyer.
Reid-Cameron served as Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions before she entered private practice in 1996. She is the lead attorney at Carolyn Reid & Company and is a member of the University Singers and a talented soprano singer.
The Office of the Public Defender was established in 2000 to investigate and seek redress on behalf of Jamaicans whose constitutional rights have been violated.
