Guardian Holdings Limited has announced organizational changes at the Trinidad-based insurance company.

Guardian Holdings, whose shares are cross listed in Jamaica and Trinidad, has disclosed that the new organisational structure was recently been approved by the group board. 

These changes relate to the creation of the new position of ‘Group Head of Life, Health and Pensions’. 

The mandate of this new role is to ensure the promulgation of best practices across Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited and Guardian Life Limited as well as to oversee the consolidation of the back offices of these LHP subsidiaries

Eric Hosin, who presently holds the position of Guardian Life Jamaica Limited president, will be appointed to the position of Group Head of Life, Health and Pensions.

Meghon Miller-Brown will be promoted to fill the vacancy of president at Guardian Life, arising from Hosin’s new assignment. Both of these appointments will be effective June 1, 2022.

In other corporate news, Trinidad based distribution giant, Massy Holdings has advised that Robert Riley was elected deputy chairman and chairman designate of the board of directors on May 5, 2022.

Massy has also advised that David O’Brien will retire as executive vice president and chairman of Massy’s ‘Motors & Machines’ portfolio effective September 30, 2022, and that Marc Rostant was appointed in his stead. Rostant’s appointment is effective October 1, 2022.
